Job Description

With this role, time is of the essence, so we’ll get straight to it… We’re looking for an exceptional marketeer to drive our online Trade & SME shop. We already have marketing managers in place for our Consumer and B2B offerings and now need a “hands on” marketeer to help us achieve our growth plans in the Trade & SME market. 

As a person, you’re likely to have a strong bias and experience around digital, but we’re also looking for sector experience, covering the full marketing mix. We want you to work with our existing teams to look & shape everything from positioning, product selection, pricing through to packaging and social.

It’s a big job so we want someone who is up for the challenge. Our Client has a huge market opportunity, recently described as £50 billion a year required investment if the UK wants to hit legislated carbon reduction targets.  We are on track to play a key role; as a “go to” new brand ready to drive in this role, how the trade and small business need to adopt products and solutions to drive a more sustainable way, helping reducing energy, water, and carbon, across homes and businesses. This supported by an ever-growing roster of amazing manufacturer partners.

This is not for the faint hearted. It’s a new role. As a team we move quickly and get stuff done rather than talk about what could be done.

Strategic thinker - Striking key partnerships to reach core market through strong affinity to industry. Think big, be brave and challenge the business.

Your fulfilment from doing well by doing good, and flexible working is a given, but we need you to be able to be happy and productive working from home when needed but to also easily commute to our offices in Bury St Edmunds.

You will come from a Trade or SME B2B marketing or sales background; you are likely to have a good technical product understanding allowing you to market products to attract electrician, plumbers, maintenance managers, property developers and even keen DIY’s as one target audience; but also the millions of SME owners and managers who want to reduce their carbon footprint, but just do not know where to start.

Through your understanding of digital and more traditional & partnership marketing you will build out your shop and know how to attract customers to this new offering.
